Mondraker is recalling certain mountain bikes fitted with ONOFF S9 Carbon handlebars because the bars can crack or break while riding. Owners should stop riding immediately and check their bike serial number.
The S9 is the carbon cockpit bar fitted to select high-end Mondraker trail, enduro and e-mountain bikes. About 177 bikes sold in the U.S. are affected, priced around $5,000 to $12,000.

Which Bikes Are Included?
The recall covers 13 model and year combinations from model years 2025-2027, according to Bicycle Retailer and Industry News in its recall breakdown. Included lines are Crafty Carbon RR S, XR, RR SL and Unlimited, Dune Carbon XR, Foxy Carbon RR, Level XR, Neat RR SL, Raze Carbon RR, and Zendit R, RR, RR S and XR.
Only bikes factory-fitted with the ONOFF S9 Carbon MTB handlebar count, plus the S9 bar sold separately. The bikes were sold at Evolucion Innovations, The Path Bike Shop and bike stores nationwide from December 2024 through June 2026.
Why Is This Bar Dangerous?
The carbon bar can develop cracks or fracture completely during normal riding. A sudden handlebar failure removes steering control and throws the rider forward. Mondraker USA received five reports of S9 bars breaking in use, as stated by the U.S.
CPSC in its recall announcement. Two of those incidents caused falls with minor abrasions. The agency classifies the defect as a fall hazard with risk of serious injury or death. Even bars that look intact should be treated as unsafe until cleared.
How Do You Check Your Bike?
Stop riding the bike and locate the serial number. Look on the down tube or on the bottom of the bottom bracket shell.
Enter that number in Mondraker's online verification tool at mondraker.com/wo/en/recall-s9: Other Mondraker models or bikes with alloy or non-S9 bars are not covered. You must still run the check before seeking a replacement.

- Submit it in the S9 recall checker
- Save the result before calling a shop
How Do You Get the Free Fix?
If the tool confirms your bike, take it to an authorized Mondraker dealer for a free replacement ONOFF S9 Carbon MTB handlebar. Bring your serial result and proof of purchase when possible.
