Is Your Pink Size-Small Helmet Affected?
Only one version is affected: a size-small pink helmet for about an 18-22-inch head circumference. It has black padding, black straps and a black rear fit-adjusting knob. As reported by Bicycle Retailer in its recall report, the knee and elbow pads in the set are not recalled.
Look inside the helmet shell for the printed label. Match all three lines: Model No.: YD-001, Lot/Ref: YD-260320 and Date 2026/03/20. Check the product packaging for the same markings if you still have it.
Why Does This Failure Matter in a Crash?
The helmets violate the mandatory federal bicycle-helmet standard. That standard is the federal safety rule every bike helmet sold in the United States must meet. It tests how a helmet absorbs impact, holds with straps, stays in place, and shows proper labels and certification.
